Manager / Associate Director Corporate Accounting

Salary Guide: $130k to $175k package plus bonus

They are looking for a seriously smart candidate who is ambitious and has all the attributes required to be an effective CFO in a quality firm.  You may not have all the technical skills yet, but you have the personality and the ability and desire to learn from the incumbent in quick time.

This role would obviously suit someone in a similar role and looking to advance quickly, or someone with the majority of technical skills and the aptitude to learn fast. 

If you have:

• 5 or more years of experience in investment management or financial services.
• Professional qualification – CPA, CA or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, fund accounting principles, and financial regulations across Australia, the UK, and Singapore.
• Practical experience in Budgeting, cash flow management and risk management.

The senior corporate accountant responsibilities would include:

• Manage the accounting and financial reporting processes for entities across Australia, UK, USA, and Asia, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Coordinate tax compliance and strategy (tax planning), including the preparation and filing of tax returns and managing tax audits.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
• Provide financial analysis, forecast reporting and support to the CFO and senior management.
• Supervise and mentor other accounting members.

As previously stated, if you are the right person, and have most of the technical skills, you will be taught the rest.  However, this role would only suit someone who is genuinely cut out to be a future CFO.  A high level of confidence and resilience is required so you can effectively deliver results and progress reports to Directors in a timely manner, so issues can be addressed efficiently.
